One month later...

******************

A month . It 's literally flew , perhaps the most hectic and unpredictable in my life, though never boring.
Teddy will not tell you about it at this time .
It was 5 am when I said goodbye to my family at the airport ,  at that time, the stomach empties suddenly , ready to leap into the void . The take-off is nothing in comparison.
We will meet again tomorrow or really starts a new chapter ?
So seeing Bologna away from the window in a moment , in the throes of a thousand thoughts and feelings , curiosity uncertainty , by the light of everything that I thought I was leaving behind the mist of a future that just did not know what would have reserved .
The most pleasant feeling just landed ( was barely 7.15 am Greenwich Time) were those  fresh14 degrees to 35 just 2 hours before.
From then  it was all improvisation , how to get to the hotel, prepare for the interview the next day, sustain it , overcome it, start the test without knowing how long it would be, it's done , you're assumed, then show up at 7 in the morning to begin with.
Again the dip in the stomach, grabbed me , and now ? what will remain ? I'm really leaving Italy ? accommodation? at work and how I get there early in the morning ? and now , in essence, here alone , what do I do ?
I was not in the mood for proclamations and celebrations , too many doubts about what was going on within 36 hours, what was brewing and what I had to close , or not.
The child who was far away to 11 years was always here , in London, in the early 90s , on vacation studio with a strong homesick , knowing only say good morning , good evening and how much it costs , being able to call the family only in the evening hours fixed by answering " yes" to an item then incomprehensible , who knows where to put you in touch with mom, dad and the "where's the nanny ? " the little sister of 2 years, for a few minutes , because it cost so much . But perhaps there was born the first point of a thread that was to give a meaning to London .
Then nothing , the problems are resolved one at a time , as you have , because they are nothing compared to the opportunity of a new life , which overlooks along the way, of the many people you can meet , by the strangest stories , from origins further away, all to cross here, who for one day only , some for months , some perhaps for a lifetime or just a piece of it .
And then to keep open the antennas , the universe is listening , the reality speaks to you and offers handholds to grasp : Solutionism is the new optimism , a slogan that passed me before the eyes written on a taxi just as I was for getting sad in the rain, an ailment and backpack that you break even as it is heavier . As a lifesaver just when you were about to ask. A sigh , arrive in the room , you put yourself warm and eat chocolate . The next morning is already much better.
A month later it seems like a lifetime ago . Everything has started for the better, and this city surprised every day , with the courtesy of the people , education , humanity, the endless possibilities , new friendships are born , surprises always around the corner , especially in time of Olympics , the stresses creativity come from all over , day after day is like falling in love with this Queen of the Capitals .
30 days after it is S. Lorenzo . I see the moon from my gable, stars and planes passing downs, full of lights, just like other stars to entrust with a desire for more .

Teddy at London 2012

Good day, it is your Teddy talking to you!
At last I went to the Olympics, with a view of the whole of excellence, as you can see!
Much has been said, the organization, the athletes, the royal family to the races, the city at the time of an event with global reach like this, but one thing caught my eyes most of all: British patriotism

Olympics or not, the flag is present everywhere! I have not checked if it is also on my favorite brand of honey, but it is certainly on the cheese, notebooks, over the heads of the people in all forms and variations, London symbols are in any collection of clothes, household items , from department stores to shop downstairs, calls for support Britain are everywhere, on the bus, in the subway, flags on display in the windows of the house ... The impression is that it is not only because of the Olympics, there is a compound but proud sense of belonging to the flag, which coexists with the acceptance of all nationalities and cultures who come here in town you speak up to 300 languages

So if it is true that the anthem is not sung by himself, and here he is God Save the Queen

Summer Homemade Jacket Potato for Teddy!

It 'Sunday, we're in London, it rains even if the sun is trying to make his way among the clouds, so here's a nice summer recipe typically English, which most can not: the Jacket Potato.
There are a thousand ways and variations for it, you can indulge in every way

After washing the potato for good (I recommend you eat with the skin then remove all the earth) it is cooked. Traditionally, the cooking goes in the oven, then obviously it depends on what you have available, you can prick and put in the oven, you can also help by boiling a bit 'then in the oven to make sure it is well cooked also in (prepares a whole, should not be cut, so it must be ready even in the middle). On average, the cooking time is 35/40 minutes if boiled, 6/7 minutes at 800 W if the microwave, but if you put it in the oven at 180 ° leave at least an hour (this would be the best solution.)

Once ready create a X in the middle and remove some 'pulp to create the container. At this point you can really launch yourself in any kind of filling. For the occasion, we cooked in a pan with a little olive oil a bit 'of bacon (a spoon full for instance), shaved a cube of Medium Cheddar Cheese and one of Red Leicester Cheese. Arrange the slivers of cheese in the middle and let it warm a bit 'in the foil with the foil so that it relies for good, add the diced bacon over and all around. As I said, the variations are endless: here is a version of Jamie Oliver Taste and enjoy the summer!

Assaggiate e godetevi l'estate!!!
